well likein the movies when they go into someone japanese home n matter who they arethey always have a set of katana swords in ther home is that true if you bee in moe than one japanese home have you seen people who know martial arts with samurai swords in ther home just always been curious?
That would be to suggest that the family is old, and has noble/samurai class origins, and is rich too. It also tells the audience that the family keeps and respects the traditional Japanese values and way of thinking, and sometimes in negative sense-the head of the household is too tyrannic and obsolete.
